What’s it like working as the Program Reporting Analyst at QuestGlobal?

Reporting to the Director, QuestGlobal Trading and Program Governance, the Program Reporting Analyst will work alongside a cross-functional team of Managers, Senior Managers, Technology and Finance teams. And will support a range of different stakeholders and be responsible for building reports and forecasts for various teams and tasks.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Producing a variety of reports to support platform updates, business updates, forecasting, status reports and other reports as required.
• Collecting platform status updates from team members, tracking platform milestones and reporting to the direct report.
• Organizing platform documentation into team folders and maintaining team shared work environment.
• Reviewing and reporting on platform hour allocations from JIRA.
• Producing monthly and quarterly financial forecasts and reviewing them for completeness and accuracy.
• Performing variance analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness with a constant focus on enhancing the same.
• Gathering relevant data from respective business units and documenting business requirements.
• Creating and maintaining finance and operational metrics database, which will be used to support management reporting and ad hoc projects.
• Operations support for Trading and Market Data.
• Documenting development and usage of database.
• Working across business units to refine database and creating customized reports.
• Testing programs or databases, correcting errors and making necessary modifications to existing databases.
• Using reporting tools to build and develop reports for weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for management and senior-level executives.
• Continuously improving reporting implementation and adapt to changing technologies.
• Maintaining a strong understanding of QuestGlobal’s service offering, the relationships with vendors, existing business models and the flows of data in the business.
• Understanding Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
• Identifying critical issues with ease.
• Exhibiting confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems.
• Working with Data Engineers to design and manage automated processes using principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Are a University graduate with a degree in computer science, information technology, business management or an equivalent undergraduate program
• Have financial services industry experience and knowledge of all types of investment products
• Possess expert MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, MATCH, INDEX, PIVOT tables and charts, Google Suite)
• Have a strong understanding of business, data, process, and object-oriented analysis and modeling techniques
• Are proficient in PowerBI
• Have solid interpersonal and documentation skills
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior technical writing skills for the creation of detailed business requirements
• Familiar with trading systems and online brokerage business model
• Take ownership of tasks and drive projects through to completion
• Are focused and patient while under pressure
• Are able to multitask and be flexible to take on varied responsibilities
• Have good judgment for proactively and independently solving problems and making decisions
• Competently follow applicable guidelines, criteria and protocols
