Production Team Lead

The Production Team Lead supports the Production Coordinator by providing on-floor leadership to production and warehouse teams to ensure daily operational targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

At A.D. Steinhol Industries, a Kingston based adhesives manufacturer, the Production Team Lead supports the Production Coordinator by providing on-floor leadership to production and warehouse teams to ensure daily operational targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the Production Coordinator in executing daily production and warehouse operations to meet planned targets
• Provide on-floor leadership and direction to production and warehouse team to ensure tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
• Coordinate raw material preparation, weighing, and staging to support smooth and timely production start-ups.
• Oversee blending, filling, labelling, and packaging activities to ensure correct batches, quantities, and quality standards are maintained.
• Participate in inventory counts
• Work closely with Quality Control to confirm materials and finished products meet required specifications before storage or dispatch.
• Monitor and record inventory movement and storage of raw materials and finished goods to ensure accuracy, order, and control.
• Support receiving and delivery activities, ensuring correct documentation, product condition, and protocol adherence.
• Promote and enforce good manufacturing practices, safety rules, housekeeping standards, and proper use of PPE.
• Identify, address, and escalate operational, quality, or safety issues, providing guidance and support to staff as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years in the manufacturing industry with at least one year in a leadership capacity.
• Strong Interpersonal and communication skills both orally and in writing.
• Excellent skills in:

o Weights and measurement

o Inventory protocol (Storage, FIFO, stock counts, etc.)

• Demonstrated ability to:

o Support production processes

o Provide good customer service

o Be confidential and act professionally

o Multitask and troubleshoot as needed

Education and Experience

• Certificate in Production Operations or Supervisory Management or equivalent
• Working knowledge of GMP standard, Fire, Safety and Emergency response requirements

Physical Demands

Job entails standing for extended periods of time

• Regular exposure to various dust and fumes and odours
• Warehouse conditions such as high temperatures
• Required to wear safety shoes, protective clothing and sometimes other safety gears
• Required to lift products with weight up to 50 lbs.
