Production Supervisor

Mother’s Enterprises Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Production Supervisor with responsibility for its manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be a flexible, innovative, and performance-driven individual, who displays effective team building and leadership skills.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensures products are made to documented specifications.
• Manages yield of products as per company’s yield expectations.
• Trains staff in assigned areas in use of equipment and the production processes.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, yields, equipment performance and quality of product.
• Deputises for Production Manager in his absence.
• Ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) and safety requirements are followed by production team members.
• Interacts with all other departments of the organization.
• Ensures accuracy of transactions with the Warehouse and Purchasing department.
• Ascertains and verifies inventory balances for all areas of responsibility.
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforce all required regulations.

• Willingness to work on weekends, public holidays and late shifts.

Educational Qualifications

• First Degree in Production and Operations Management, Food Service Management, Business Administration or related field.
• A minimum of 2 years experience as a supervisor in a Production or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2008 would be a distinct advantage.
