Plans, organizes and monitors the movement of inventory including but not limited to receiving, storage, blending, delivery, backloads, stock counts and distribution of all items owned by company.

EDUCATION
Minimum of Five (5) CXC O’Level passes (including Mathematics and English) OR
Diploma in Materials Management / Procurement / Inventory or Certification in a related field of study.
EXPERIENCE
At least two (2) years’ experience working in a Materials Storage / Inventory and Purchasing related function.
Experience in a fast-paced, service environment.
ACCOUNTABILITY
The Production Assistant is directly accountable to the Operations Manager and has a working relationship with the Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor and Business Unit Managers.
FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Production Assistant will be responsible for the following related to their assigned geographical location:
Responsible for organisation all company property under your responsibility including proper housekeeping, security, packing, labelling, segregation, tagging, storage according to established standards.
Ensures that all products are received into the storage in the required quantity, quality and meet agreed specification. Reports and provides follow-up with non-compliance of received product to the Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor and Department Heads, in accordance with Business Management System (BMS) Procedures.
Monitors and reports on the company’s Inventory (saleable material, MRO spares and consumables) at assigned Location or any other location as identified by the Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor.
Conducts and documents Stocktaking and Audit exercises (internal / external) and informs Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor of all discrepancies as required.
Issues items to user departments in keeping with Company’s BMS and Financial Policies and Procedures.
Ensures that there is an adequate inventory of identified spares available for operations equipment as and when needed and communicates shortages to relevant personnel in a timely manner.
Assists with the preparation of related reports as required.
Dispatches products / inventory to customers (internal /external) in keeping with Company’s BMS and Financial Policies and Procedures.
Responsible for the preparation of Receipting, Issuing, Transfer, Blending and Back Loads/Return documents on DYNAMICS SL and Maintenance Connection software in accordance with the BMS, Corporate Policy and Procedures Manual.
All movements of inventory must be first completed in the DYNAMICS SL software and the relevant documents printed before inventory is physically moved and coordinated with other locations to process transfers.
Understand and use DYNAMICS SL for generation of BMS documentation for Delivery Notes, Internal Material Transfers, Inventory Return Note and other supporting documentation including the process for finished goods Barite production and movements.
Coordinate with Operations Manager and Service Centre Authorities (SCA) on use and update to the Blend Sheets for each batch of mix/treatment during shift.
Coordinate with all relevant parties to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained as calculated necessary for current and upcoming shifts or as detailed by the SCAs.
Coordinate vessel deliveries with Operations Manager and SCAs.
Assist with Cargo Carrying Units (CCU) management.
Assist with Hose management.
Assigns physical warehouse space and coordinates the movement of all inventory within the warehouse and yard whilst ensuring proper housekeeping standards are maintained.
Performs any other related duties required by management to ensure the successful completion and/or running of operations.
