Position: JESS Procurement Senior Officer
Location: Kingston, Jamaica

About Us:
KPMG Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS) operates from Kingston, providing back-office support to KPMG United States. Our procurement function is expanding, and we are looking for a talented Senior Officer to join our team. At JESS, we work closely with our Client’s stakeholders to support multiple procurement processes, 
focusing on strategic sourcing.



Job Summary:
As a JESS Procurement Senior Officer, you will be responsible for facilitating and supporting the procurement process for indirect spend, including technology, publications, office supplies, branded merchandise, and other categories using the Coupa platform. You will liaise with various departments such as Legal, Risk, Finance, Brand, and IT to ensure purchases meet firm standards and internal procedures. Additionally, you will engage with sourcing category teams to ensure adherence to category strategies and maintain transaction documents in the appropriate repository.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Delivery: Fulfill Clients’ purchase requests submitted through the Coupa P2P platform or Purchasing mailboxes.
  • Inquiry Response: Respond to all inquiries submitted to email boxes and direct purchase requests to Coupa when required.
  • Supplier Enablement: Support the enablement of suppliers on the Coupa P2P platform.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence assessments on all assigned tasks to ensure accurate execution.
  • User Education: Educate end users on how to submit proper purchase requests and firm policies.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and escalate areas for process improvements or increased efficiency.

 

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Engagement: Engage and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality products, on-time delivery, accurate quantity, correct invoicing, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Department Liaison: Liaise with various departments to ensure purchases meet firm standards and internal procedures.
  • Special Projects: Support special initiatives and projects.

Education and Experience:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or Equivalent Professional Accreditation.
  • ​Experience: 1-3 years of relevant work experience within Purchasing/Procurement Operations or a similar process.
  • ​Technical Proficiency: Proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Paperless Environment: Will be working primarily in a paperless environment using information systems for the entire workday.
  • Extended Hours: May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays.
