Procurement Officer

Maintains procurement records, supplier relationships, and inventory data. Evaluates vendors, negotiates contracts, and ensures quality, cost-effective supplies. Supports the Procurement Manager and team in a fast-paced environment to ensure efficient purchasing operations.

ARC MANUFACTURING LIMITED, one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of building materials in Jamaica and the region, seeks to identify suitable candidate for the position of Procurement Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing

• Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
• Making professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
• Review and analyse all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
• Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
• Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
• Create and maintain an inventory of all incoming and current supplies
• Maintain and update the list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
• Working with team members and Procurement Manager to complete duties as needed.

 Required Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Production and Operation Management or a related discipline
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Procurement
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Knowledgeable in the building materials or construction industry
