Procurement Officer

Overview: Our client is a leading Caribbean manufacturer of architectural and industrial coatings, with production in six countries and distribution across 15+ markets. Due to growth, they are seeking to employ a professional who is customer centric and analytical to join the Cayman Islands operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Coordinate with the Finance department to ensure timely payments to suppliers and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain and update the procurement database, ensuring all vendor information, purchase records and other related procurement matters are current.
• Organize and file procurement documents, such as contracts and purchase orders, for audit and regulatory compliance.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in business / administration or related field, with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role OR Three (3) A’ Level passes including Business or a Diploma / Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of supply chain systems, customer service processes and related business modules would be an asset.
• High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sound Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Passion for excellence with a “can do” attitude.
• Knowledge and experience of working in the Paint industry would be an asset.
• Open to learning and innovation with a growth mindset.
• Enthusiastic, with a readiness to champion best practices to meet challenges in a fast-paced environment.
