We are seeking to hire a Procurement Manager to join our expanding business

Job Summary:
The Procurement Manager is responsible to lead the Purchasing Department delivering strong results in training, kpi performance, supplier relationship management, compliance with company policy and regulations and effective communication.

Responsibilities
o Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of the organization's procurement strategies to ensure compliance with the company's internal policies, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.
o Financial Management: Prepare and manage the annual budget for the procurement branch and deliver strong results annually from cost savings initiatives.
o Policy and Compliance: Develop, implement, and review procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
o Tendering and Contract Management: Oversee the entire tendering process, manage contract award processes, and ensure the procurement of goods, works, and services is conducted competitively.
o Purchase Order Approval: review and approve purchase orders daily in a timely manner, ensuring there is compliance to company policy and the value for money objective is being met.
o Raw and Packaging Material Inventory ordering: review monthly production forecasts and other critical data to approve accurate packaging and raw material orders. This includes expediting urgent deliveries as needed, weekly inventory review, low stock reports, and audits on low stock or stock-out.
o Supplier relationship management: review supplier portfolios weekly: performance data, follow-up on strategic projects, contracts, general compliance and risk review.
o Risk Management: reducing the Manufacturing Division’s supply chain risk exposure by leading annual Purchasing Risk Assessment and aid with initiatives from quarterly risk surveys, to include providing risk feedback as required by key customers.
o Market Analysis and Continuous Improvement: Monitor commodity markets, identify best practices in procurement, and implement tools and systems for continuous improvement.
o Staff Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and development for the procurement team, including performance monitoring, training, and mentoring.
o Appraisals and training: complete staff Appraisals annually based on the company's deadlines, to include continued training and development of the procurement Team.
o KPI monitoring and Communication: ensure the Team complies with the critical company policy of responding to emails within 24 hours, as well as meeting all existing key performance indicators such as purchase order turnaround, vendor performance evaluations, zero stock outs caused by the Purchasing Department, 
Requirements
o Bachelor’s degree in Procurement Management or Supply Chain Management. A master’s degree would be an asset.
o Professional Certification in procurement would be an asset.
o Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in procurement leadership. Over ten (10) years in a managerial role or greater, is an asset.
o Strong evidence of managing large tenders.
o Strong leadership, communication, strategic planning, and analytical skills.
o Proficiency in relevant computer software and knowledge of e-procurement systems.
