Reports To: Procurement Supervisor

Position Summary

The Procurement Clerk is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting procurement and pricing data to support cost-effective purchasing across retail and FMCG operations. The role integrates procurement analytics, pricing coordination, providing data that support sourcing decisions & pricing strategies. The position ensures data accuracy, and effective collaboration across procurement, finance, marketing & sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Supplier Analytics

  • Collect, validate, and maintain procurement and purchasing data from ERP, inventory, and supplier systems.
  • Analyze purchasing trends, supplier costs, lead times, and performance metrics.
  • Support supplier selection, evaluation, and negotiation through data analysis.

Pricing Coordination

  • Assist in maintaining accurate pricing Labels & Signs for all store products.
  • Monitor price execution in stores and investigate pricing discrepancies.
  • Support promotional pricing, discounts, and markdown analysis.

Reporting

  • Prepare weekly and monthly analytical reports for management review.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with Procurement, Finance, Market & Sales, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Assist in Periodic and Yearly Inventory Counts.
  • Assist with processing of Invoices, Damages, Returns and Rebates
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Experience working with ERP, procurement, inventory, or POS systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Required Skills and Competencies

Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma in Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years’ experience in procurement analysis, pricing, supply chain analytics, or commercial data roles. Retail or FMCG experience is an asset.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy and completeness of procurement and pricing data.
  • Timeliness and quality of analytical reports.
  • Reduction in pricing discrepancies and data errors.
  • Compliance with procurement and pricing policies.

Work Environment

This role operates in a corporate commercial environment with regular interaction with suppliers, retail outlets, and cross-functional teams. Working hours align with Trinidad & Tobago labour regulations, with occasional extended hours during audits, promotions, or peak trading periods.
