Position Description

This position will provide support to the Senior Processing Supervisor across processing activities, at both the planning and implementation level. Across these activities, the Processing Supervisor will help ensure all JMCC Quality standards (including GACP and GMP) are met and that Processing Technicians and other direct reports are appropriately trained and equipped to carry out underlying duties. These duties include but are not limited to dry bud processing, extraction, preparation of nano-emulsion and packaging. The Processing Supervisor will complete and/or verify documentation as relevant to the various processing activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring all plant materials received from cultivation are processed and manufactured according to GACP and GMP;
• Assist in providing oversight of dry bud processing cycle-harvested plant to customer-ready product;
• Assist in performing activities and providing oversight of extraction, distillation, preparation of nano-emulsion and final product packaging processes;
• Supervises a team to perform various roles within the end-to-end processing cycle;
• Assist in conducting regular compliance and quality assessment of all individuals and processes;
• Assist in ensuring regular equipment/machinery checks are conducted from both operational efficiency and a health and safety perspective;
• Assist in processing relevant risk assessments and participate in crisis review and alleviation as required;
• Assist in ensuring the site validation master plan is followed for all critical equipment;
• Assist in ensuring all materials follow the appropriate JMCC processes for receipt, sample testing and release;
• Recommend appropriate controls are in place for receipt, quarantine and storage of materials;
• Proactively supporting the company’s culture of environmental responsibility;
• Assist with the management of any environmental risks and hazards;
• Accepts responsibility for quality of own work; acknowledges and corrects mistakes, shows up on time, meets standards, deadlines and work schedules;

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or degree in agriculture or science related field;
• 3 years’ supervisory experience within a commercial operating environment;
• Awareness of GACP, GMP. Annual GMP and GACP refresher training;
• Flexibility in working hours/days;
• A hands-on “roll up one’s sleeves” approach to work;
• Good organizational and time-management skills;
• Computer literacy skills;
• Unquestionable integrity;
• Ability to communicate, take necessary initiatives and independently make decisions promptly should the need arise.
