The Packaging Operator has responsibility for the efficient and safe use of machines, ensuring that products meet the required specifications and are in support of the company's overall strategy and goals

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate Reverse Osmosis Plants as set out in Manufacturer’s Operation Manual 
  • Receive, test, store and monitor Liquid Carbon Dioxide
  • Complete cleaning and sanitation of equipment as set out in work instructions
  • Execute Preventive Maintenance of equipment as set out in scheduled Maintenance Work Orders
  • Collect and log operating data on the prescribed forms
  • Perform required tests at prescribed frequencies
  • Support ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 18000 and FSSC 22000 standards, regulatory requirements and any other third party management systems as required e.g. Coca Cola
  • Operate equipment to facilitate the production and delivery of adequately treated water to the various processes required by the Beverage Department
  • Operate equipment to facilitate the production and delivery of Nitrogen to the Production Process as set out in Manufacturer’s Operation Manual
  • Operate Carbon Dioxide Vaporizers to facilitate the supply of Carbon Dioxide to the Production Process in the Beverage Department and Fountain cylinders
  • Support the maintenance of a Safe and Healthy Work Environment
  • Any other duties that may be assigned within the scope of the job

 

JOB SPECIFICATION/COMPETENCIES [Minimum]

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum four (4) CSEC  passes including Maths, English and a Science subject with at least one (1) year similar experience in a manufacturing environment or appropriate working experience in manufacturing environment
  • Good communication skils – both in written and verbal formats with the ability to communicate with varying levels of staff
  • Possess good analytical, problem-solving, organization and time management skills
  • Meticulous, with the ability to function well individually and on a team within a demanding work environment
