Job Summary

A leading organization within the manufacturing and distribution sector is seeking a proactive talent to support efficient plant operations and ensure optimal output, reliability, and safety.
This role combines technical process management with hands-on leadership, providing guidance to teams, coordinating maintenance and improvement projects, and ensuring compliance with all company standards and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also assist in planning and executing operational and capital improvement projects aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor daily activities to ensure consistent output and adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Work closely with the Manager to manage budgets, plan upgrades, and recommend process improvements or capital projects.
  • Review and assess production performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues that may disrupt production, recommending preventive and corrective actions.
  • Prepare technical specifications, process documentation, and reports to support continuous improvement.
  • Support plant modifications, system upgrades, and equipment optimization initiatives.
  • Oversee inventory controls for materials, supplies, and finished goods, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Supervise and guide operational staff, including production operators, technicians, and team leads.
  • Allocate tasks, manage shift coverage, and ensure appropriate resource utilization to achieve daily production targets.
  • Promote adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
  • Conduct staff evaluations, coach employees, and facilitate training for skill and safety development.
  • Ensure all team members maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in accordance with company and statutory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of proactive safety awareness by reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly.
  • Verify that all work activities follow approved Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and permit-to-work procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational data, including production logs, maintenance reports, and SOPs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, highlighting key metrics and improvement opportunities.
  • Support management in preparing documentation for audits, inspections, and project evaluations.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and performance reviews.
  • Provide technical input and assist in the implementation of new initiatives or pilot projects.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management to support operational objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Process Engineering (or a related discipline).
  • Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing, process, or industrial production environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, quality assurance, and safety practices.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and technical reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) will be an asset.
