We are seeking a highly experienced environmental professional to provide senior-level leadership and advisory support on environmental, safety, and sustainability matters across operations. The Principal QSE Environmental Consultant will work closely with management to ensure full regulatory compliance, effective environmental management, and alignment with local and international HSE standards.
Lead and manage environmental and regulatory compliance activities in accordance with local and international legislation.
Provide expert HSE and environmental advice to support safe and compliant operations.
Conduct audits, assessments, and inspections to identify compliance gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Coordinate environmental monitoring activities, including effluent sampling, emissions tracking, and regulatory reporting to relevant authorities.
Manage and support applications, renewals, and compliance requirements for environmental permits and approvals (including CECs, EIAs, air, water, and waste permits).
Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the organisation in industry forums and working groups, as required.
Manage sustainability initiatives, emissions reporting, and environmental performance in line with group and regulatory standards.
Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of the Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001.
Provide environmental and HSE support to projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely execution.
Mentor and guide junior HSE staff and manage assigned HSE or environmental projects within scope, budget, and timelines.
Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in environmental management and HSE, preferably within oil & gas or industrial operations.
Strong working knowledge of environmental legislation, regulatory compliance, and reporting requirements.
Proven experience with sustainability initiatives, emissions reporting, and ISO 14001 systems.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence teams across the organisation.
