Pricing and Receiving Manager
Graceway Supermarkets is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and hands-on Pricing and Receiving Manager to join our team! Job Title: Pricing and Receiving Manager
Accountable to: Head of Commercial Operations
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
In this key leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of product pricing, cost management, and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and profitability across multiple departments. You will collaborate with teams across Purchasing, Retail, and Accounting to ensure we stay competitive, compliant, and consistent with our commitment to quality and value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor product pricing and gross profit margins to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies for promotions, special offers, and bulk adjustments.
- Conduct competitor price analyses and collaborate with Retail, Accounting, and Purchasing teams to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Oversee tagging operations to ensure all items are accurately labeled and priced across all stores.
- Manage cost and price updates within the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and coordinate with IT for data accuracy.
- Review vendor bulletins and invoices to verify product setup, costs, and barcode information.
- Supervise the electronic receiving process of local and international invoices, ensuring timely entry and system accuracy.
- Lead, train, and support the Pricing and Receiving team to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and drive process improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and uphold company values in all aspects of work.
- Maintain and monitor product pricing and gross profit margins in line with company objectives.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies for promotions, special offers, and bulk adjustments.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in retail business analysis or pricing.
- Proven experience in inventory management, analysis, or retail operations management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with inventory or POS systems (Droste experience an asset).
- Strong data analysis capabilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
