Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Revenue Operations & Payments team in the capacity of:
Pre-Authorized Payment/EFT Associate
Prepare and process Pre-Authorized Payments (PAP) for lodgements.
Update PAP arrears listings and manual vouchers records.
Ensure client records are accurately processed to guarantee client requests and satisfaction are always met within standards.
Location: Kingston
As a Pre-Authorized Payment/EFT Associate, you will:
- Record and update policy records with all Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP) forms received in the Department.
- Examine PAP forms for completeness and accuracy.
- Update the policy records with all changes relevant to the PAP method of payment.
- Prepare manual PAP vouchers for outstanding premiums.
- Return PAP forms with errors to the branches or departments for correction.
- Monitor the printing and preparation of PAP cheques for lodgement to bank accounts.
- Verify and prepare Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) lodgements ensuring that the value of the items correspond with the reports generated.
- Analyse listing to determine policies in arrears and prepare manual vouchers for those policies.
- Update policy records on computer system.
- Prepare PAP cheques for lodgement to bank accounts.
- Investigate and respond to queries relating to Pre-Authorized Payment.
- Prepare PAP monthly report for submission to the supervisor by established deadline.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline from a recognized institution.
- LOMA (parts 1 and 2) or any other industry related designations would be an asset.
- Three (3) years' working experience including one (1) year experience in an operations division of a life insurance company.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High level of integrity.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal/human relations skills.
- Sound knowledge of insurance products, processes, and procedures.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to conduct research, analyse data and make recommendations.
- Working knowledge of local Data Privacy Acts.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
