Overview
JN Fund Managers Limited is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Portfolio Officer to support the execution and management of investment transactions, portfolio monitoring, and liquidity planning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop in a dynamic asset management environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Trading & Liquidity Management
- Execute daily placements and borrowing of funds under supervision
- Communicate transaction details promptly to settlement and accounting teams
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely settlement of trades
- Maintain accurate records of all investment transactions
- Manage daily cash positions to minimize idle balances and support liquidity needs
2. Portfolio Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular investment performance reports for internal portfolios and clients
- Produce detailed cash flow forecasts and monitor actual vs. projected performance
- Maintain and update databases used for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
- Support risk assessments by conducting scenario and stress testing
- Prepare macroeconomic and company-specific analyses to support portfolio decisions
3. Portfolio Monitoring
- Monitor compliance with internal investment policies and regulatory limits
- Alert relevant stakeholders to potential or actual breaches in investment guidelines
- Stay informed about changing client needs and market developments
Minimum Requirements
- First degree in Banking, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Accounting, or Mathematics
- Certified Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA®) designation
- At least two years' experience in research, asset management, investment banking, pension fund management, trading, corporate finance, or asset & liability management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, scenario analysis)
- Strong communication, reporting, and analytical capabilities
