Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Insurance Operation Services - Business Development & Policy Services team in the capacity of:
Policy Administration Assistant
Coordinate and monitor the activities associated with policy conversions, premium refunds, transfer of funds, write back of cheques and policy contract administration.
Location: Kingston
As a Policy Administration Assistant, you will:
- Process conversions on the system daily in keeping with the agreed standards.
- Process Settle Reversals on the system daily as required in keeping with the agreed standards.
- Process refund payments within the agreed standard.
- Verify and amend settled policies/policy contracts as required and ensure conformance to set procedures.
- Correct errors on settled files and policy contracts.
- Make amendments to policy contracts returned from branches.
- Writeback of cheques for reopening or transfer to policies.
- Handle queries relating to refund cheques, policy contract, Not Proceeded With (NPW), settle reversal and in-force policies.
- Process requests for change of advisor in keeping with the agreed standards.
- Prepare weekly and monthly desk reports/updates within established guidelines.
- Process E-services application forms.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- A minimum of six (6) subjects at the CXC (General Proficiency) or GCE (Ordinary) level, including English Language and a numeric subject.
- LOMA Parts 1 and 2.
- Two (2) years’ working experience, one (1) year of which must be in the insurance industry.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Good knowledge of life insurance operations.
- Proficient decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
- Good time management and human relations skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Sound knowledge of the CAPSIL System.
