The Pipe Stress Engineer will plan and conduct independent work which includes performing stress analysis of critical lines, design of piping supports and bulk material take-offs whilst working in strict integration with the Plant Design and Piping team.
SUMMARY
The Pipe Stress Engineer will plan and conduct independent work which includes performing stress analysis of critical lines, design of piping supports and bulk material take-offs whilst working in strict integration with the Plant Design and Piping team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Reviews and implements pipe stress design criteria and specification per project requirements.
2. Performs verification and implementaion of client specifications and requirements.
3. Originates and reviews discipline deliverables such as pipe support details and design, bulk material take-offs,
Critical Line Lists, Pipe Rack Load sketches and stress analysis calculations.
4. Performs Stress Analysis of critical lines to ensure adequate flexibility in piping systems and acceptableequipment
loadings per project specifications.
5. Prepares and /or checks design engineering packages and ensures they meet project requirements.
6. Prepares material requisition for both engineered and speciality piping and assess procurement
processesthroughout projects to ensure that deliverables meet engineering specifications.
7. Prepares technical reports related to specific design issues.
8. Participates in supplier meetings, design reviews (Model Reviews, Equipment selection etc) /Engineering safety studies (HAZOP, HAZID) and ensures observations are incorporated as required in relevant stress documents.
9. Coodrinates intra discipline meetings and reviews.
10. Performs any other related activities as required.
