Pharmacist

Qualified Pharmacist - VE Medical St Lucia Opportunity for Additional pharmacist Must be fully qualified to comply with the St Lucia Pharmacy Council requirement. Pharmacy degree, two years experience if non national.

Ve Medical Facility invites suitably qualified persons to apply for the position of Pharmacist to be part of our Medical team in Saint Lucia

Major Duties Include:

• Dispensing medications accurately and efficiently by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals; providing patient counselling at the time of dispensing in accordance with Pharmacy Act
• Completing pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing workflow; verifying Technicians preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
• Provide Technical guidance to Health-Care team of Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Diabetes Specialist, Dermatologist and Nurses at VE Medical Facility
• Providing pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies.
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Providing effective and efficient drug procurement and storage.
• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records.
• Assisting with the company’s stocktaking process.
• Providing recommendation of over the counter and non- prescription items.

Qualification and Experience Required:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy with 2 years or more working experience in relevant field OR
• Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy with 2 years working experience in relevant field
• Current Registration with Pharmacy Council in Country of Origin (Trinidad, Guyana)

• Sound knowledge of the Pharmacy Act and Regulations of St. Lucia.
• Ability to Supervise and lead a team to achieve organizational goals.
• Ability to analyze information and make sound judgments.
• Detail-oriented.
• A general understanding of the Pharmaceutical retail sector.
• Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
