Personal Chef/ Nutritionist

We are seeking a seasoned culinary professional with a background in preparing various cuisines (in particular, Arabic and Asian) to prepare delicious and healthy meals for a private client and family.

Job Summary

An experienced culinary professional with a background in meal preparation of healthy meals in various cuisines and culinary traditions. Formal training in prestigious culinary institutions and experience in healthy meal preparation according to dietary needs. This position requires the individual to have experience in food and nutrition and quality control.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals in the client’s home kitchen as per client’s request and established nutritional guidelines.
  • Establish relationships with reputable suppliers, rigorously inspecting incoming ingredients for freshness and quality.
  • Implement rigorous recipe testing to ensure consistent flavours, textures, and presentation.
  • Maintain a repository of standardized recipes, regularly updating based on feedback and culinary trends.
  • Train kitchen staff on precise cooking techniques, plating standards, table service and food safety.
  • Taste-test dishes regularly and adjust recipes as necessary to meet client’s expectations.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement, innovating and adapting to culinary trends while adhering to nutrition and quality standards.
  • React promptly to client feedback, addressing any immediate concerns.
  • Implement strict hygiene protocols to ensure food safety during preparation.
  • Sound understanding of Health and Safety standards for food.

  • Attention to detail to spot defects or deviations from quality standards.
  • Ability to continuously move around on a daily basis, as well as the ability to lift a minimum of 20lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Culinary Arts, Chemistry, Quality Management etc.).
  • Minimum of (5) years of experience as Chef with 2-3 years working in restaurants/ health and nutrition/ quality control
  • Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
  • Experience working for private clients will be an asset.
