Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group HR & People Experience team in the capacity of:

 

 

People Compliance and Talent Management Officer

 

 

Manage the Company’s dealer representative portfolio.

 

Assist with the Fit and Proper process as required by the relevant Regulatory bodies for Sagicor Group with regards to executive team members, Dealer Representatives & Traders.

 

Assist with preparing sanctions for non-compliant team members for regulatory mandatory trainings.

 

Responsible for maintaining and guiding the execution of Individual Development Plans for team members within Sagicor Group Jamaica.

 

Assist with the execution of key talent development programmes and supporting the overall development of competencies and capabilities across the organisation.

 

Track and manage the completion of the Annual Declaration of Income, Assets and Liabilities and the Internal Disclosure and Policy Acknowledgment Certificate forms.

 

Review and monitor internal controls and compliance in relation to disclosure of second job activities and police report submissions.

 

Location: Kingston

 

 

  As a People Compliance and Talent Management Officer, you will:

 

  • Manage the Dealer Representative process for Sagicor Investments and Sagicor Life team members.
    • Request payment for associated fees to the appropriate authorities for both new and current officers.
    • Maintain an up-to-date database of activities of the filing list of all personnel described above and ensure that they are appropriately registered with the Financial Services Commission.
  • Assist with the Fit and Proper process as required by the Bank of Jamaica for Sagicor Group with regards to senior and executive team members & traders.
  • Ensure the timely communication and submission of Fit & Proper documents and compliance reports relating to other regulatory bodies as the needs arise.
  • File changes in Executive Management as well as pay the relevant fees that are due.
  • Liaise and coordinate with key team members/ units in the retrieval and dissemination of information to fulfil the requests from the Internal Audit department.
  • Review and monitor the declaration of second job activities by team members to ensure there is no conflict or potential conflict of interest.
  • Manage the completion rate for the annual disclosure and generate a listing for sanctions and follow-up.
  • Monitor the recruiting requirements in relation to police report processing for new team members.
  • Liaise with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that the Information Security Awareness (ISA) test is completed in a timely manner to ensure satisfaction of regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor team member listing for sanctioning of non-compliant team members.
  • Liaise with the relevant stakeholders to ensure the Anti-Money Laundering (AML-POCA) Test is completed in a timely manner to ensure satisfaction of regulatory requirements. Monitor team member listing for sanctioning of non-compliant team members.
  • Manage/ track succession charts and successors to capture changes or other updates.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

 

What do you need?

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Management Studies or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • At least two (2) years’ working experience in Human Resources.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent reporting and documentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
