Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group HR & People Experience team in the capacity of:
People Analytics & Records Management Officer
Play a key role in maintaining the integrity, accessibility, and compliance of employee records.
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of personnel files, physical and digital, and serve as the central point of contact for document intake, file requests, and audits.
Work closely with HR teams and external stakeholders, as this role ensures file completeness, data protection compliance, and supports HR operations by enabling timely and accurate information access.
Location: Kingston
As a People Analytics & Records Management Officer, you will:
- Maintain complete and auditable digital and physical employee records.
- Track all mandatory documents across the employee lifecycle.
- Manage and track file access and movement via a centralized request system.
- Maintain logs and ensure compliance with access protocols.
- Lead follow-up with HR units to collect missing or delayed documentation.
- Support file preparation and submission for internal/external audits or HR compliance checks.
- Work closely with the Filing Assistant to ensure all scanned documents are clearly labeled and properly filed.
- Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act by applying security and access protocols.
- Monitor policy adherence.
- Recommend and help implement system/process improvements for records handling and access.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Information Management, or related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years' working experience in HR operations or records management.
- Prior experience working with document control, compliance, or data privacy frameworks is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Labour Relations Laws and Industrial Relations practice.
- Strong knowledge of file management systems, both electronic and physical.
- Understanding of the Jamaica Data Protection Act (2020) and its implications for HR records.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook; and digital collaboration tools including, but not limited to, SharePoint and Google Drive.
- Experience working with HRIS systems is an asset.
