Sagicor Employee Benefits Administrators Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Pension Services team in the capacity of:

 

 

 

Pension Support Officer
(Grade 3)

 

 

Prepare pension plan accounting statements upon request.

 

Provide administrative assistance to portfolio of pensioners, monitor and route communications received via MYSAGICOR.

 

Assist with the portfolio of Pension Administrators and perform other administrative duties in servicing our pension clients .

 

 

Location: Kingston

 

As a Pension Support Officer, you will:

 

  • Prepare Certified Financial Return on the accounting accrual basis.
  • For segregated funds, ensure proper accounting statements are received.
  • Ensure proper interest rates are applied to receivables and payables.
  • Ensure Pension Administrators are advised of amendments/adjustment required after the preparation of clients CFR.
  • Make amendments to CFR’s due to FSC’s Desk base assessments.
  • Conduct system updates for returned proof of life certifications.
  • Request payments for pensioners whose payments were suspended.
  • Assist with activities to suspend payments for pensioners not returning their proof of life certification.
  • Provide Pension Administrators with information related to deceased pensioners to ascertain any further benefits due to beneficiaries.
  • Update pension system with change of address or financial institution details.
  • Re-upload pension payments to banks for bounced payments that have been sorted out.
  • Prepare end of guarantee letters and letters to the bank to recover payments.
  • Maintain database for all unclaimed benefits.
  • Flag members as they become unclaimed.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

What do you need?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounts or Mathematics or related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar capacity.
  • Loma level I or certificate in other industry specified courses.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time.
  • Sound knowledge of standard PC software applications and pension specific software.
