Job Summary: 

To contribute to the attainment of the company's objectives by providing world class administrative service to the portfolio of pension clients, ensuring efficiency and optimal customer satisfaction.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Carries out administrative functions for the portfolio of Pension Plans/Schemes as assigned while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the Database:
  • Reviews Constitutive Documents - trust deeds, rules, terms and other documentation of accounts handled checking documentation to ensure familiarity with the Plans administered
  • Handles queries and resolves complaints from clients in portfolio providing advice, addressing issues, consulting/negotiating with Sponsors where necessary to ensure proper resolution of the matter; consults with the Manager on relevant issues and referring matters where necessary to ensure appropriate resolution.
  • Liaises with Clients regarding administrative aspects of the pension plans
  • Ensures the efficient enrollment of all members for the assigned Plans in keeping with established guidelines and  deadlines.
  •  Uploads contributions to the system monthly for each plan, while verifying data and amounts to ensure accuracy of database is maintained
  • Processes Additions to, and Leavers from, the Plans in keeping with the Constitutive Documents while ensuring that the required documentation and mandatory system information is put in place
  • Calculates termination payments in keeping with the Constitutive Documents, and liaises with Finance Unit for preparation of cheques. Ensure dispatch of payments within the Units agreed Standard Level Agreement while ensuring proper documentation is in place
  • Processes and prepares End of Year Statements for individual active members and deferred members of pension Plans for the assigned portfolio along with associated Year End Reports.
  • Calculates retirement benefits for individuals going on retirement, in keeping with the Constitutive Documents while liaising with Actuaries, etc., accordingly. 
  • Establishes payment schedule with Finance Unit to ensure monthly dispatch of annuity payments
  • Maintain and process monthly pensioner payroll to support annuity payments
  • Dispatch requisite documentation to pensioners and regulators on a periodic basis

Qualification & Experience:

  • BSc Degree preferably in Actuarial Sciences, Finance or Business Management
  • At least 3 Years’ Employee Benefits Experience, with related experience in the Pensions Industry

Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Tax Administration Regulations and processes
  • Knowledge of FSC Regulations
  • Mathematical/Actuarial/Finance proficiency Practice of superior customer service
  • Demonstrated experience working with Constitutive Documents, including Trust Deeds and Plan Rules, in a financial, legal, or pensions-related environment
  • Problem-solving and attention to detail
