Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll and Employee Services Officer to join our team. This role focuses heavily on payroll administration while also supporting a range of employee services to ensure smooth HR operations. The ideal candidate will be accurate, confidential, and people-focused, with strong knowledge of payroll compliance and employee support functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy with salaries, deductions, and statutory contributions.

  • Prepare job letters, NHT verification letters, and administer staff loans.

  • Support employee onboarding/offboarding processes and maintain accurate HR/payroll records.

  • Administer pension, health, and life insurance deductions and ensure timely submissions.

  • Respond to employee queries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR services.

  • Assist with leave administration and maintain up-to-date leave balances.

  • Generate payroll and statutory compliance reports, reconciling with Finance.

  • Support HR communications, employee recognition initiatives, and welfare programs.

  • Provide general HR administrative support as needed.

  • Provide front desk coverage during lunch breaks, including answering calls, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries in a professional manner

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, or Business Administration.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll processing and employee services.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll/HRIS software (ERP experience an asset).

  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
