Payroll Manager

The Payroll Manager is responsible for ensuring payroll preparation, processing, distribution, and documentation in accordance with the Company’s standards and procedures and the statutory laws of Jamaica.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant, and timely manner through analysis, document preparation and data input
• Oversee the compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
• Review the processing of all payrolls
• Prepare analytical reports for management to assist with daily operations.
• Oversee the creation of payroll reports.
• Manage the processing of staff appointments, transfers, promotions, and terminations
• Review payroll and staff cost reconciliations
• Periodically review and improve payroll policies and procedures
• Support all internal and external audits related to payroll
• Seek guidance and implement new statutory legislation impacting payroll
• Manage and coordinate activities of payroll staff, as well as manage the performance and development of payroll staff
• Facilitate management and employee understanding of payroll procedures
• Set-up and establish payroll processes for all Hub clients.
• Liaise with Hub Clients
• Oversee the creation of payroll reports for hub clients

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience.
• Demonstrated experience in payroll calculation and processing
• Proficiency in relevant payroll and accounting software (ACCPAC)
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Knowledge of statutory rules and laws of Jamaica

COMPENSATION

Base salary (gross per annum): JMD$6,000,000.00
