3-month temporary role supporting accurate payroll data preparation and submission to an external provider. Ensures timely, compliant, and confidential processing of payroll inputs, requiring strong attention to detail, efficiency, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

This is a three (3) month temporary assignment designed to support the accurate preparation and submission of payroll data to the Company’s external payroll provider during a critical operational period.

The Payroll Data & Administration Officer will play a key role in ensuring that all payroll inputs are properly compiled, validated, and submitted within required timelines, while maintaining strict accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with statutory and internal requirements. 

  • Prepare and compile payroll input files (e.g., salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, statutory contributions) for submission to the external payroll provider.
  • Validate payroll data against approved records including timesheets, attendance reports, contracts, and HRIS data.
  • Ensure all payroll inputs are accurate, complete, and aligned with company policies and Jamaican statutory requirements (NIS, NHT, Education Tax, PAYE).
  • Liaise directly with the external payroll provider to submit payroll data, clarify queries, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain payroll trackers and audit-ready documentation for all submissions.
  • Review payroll outputs from the provider and reconcile against submitted data prior to finalization.
  • Support month-end payroll reporting and provide data for finance reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and data protection standards.
  • Assist with employee payroll queries, where required, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and data accuracy.
