Sagicor Group Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Infrastructure & Technical Services team in the capacity of:

Patch Management Administrator

Ensure compliance targets are met by deploying and testing all patches/updates for all software and hardware assets within Sagicor Group.

Collaborate with SMEs and team members for infrastructure systems and workstations during the patching process and planning, operate patch management tools efficiently.

Follow established policies and procedures and updates and maintains schedule and inventory of updates, firmware level and service packs based on the group’s software and hardware inventory

Location: Kingston

As a Patch Management Administrator, you will:

• Implement automated patch deployment where possible.
• Monitor, control and maintain distribution points to ensure efficient patch deployment using distribution points.
• Escalate problems to the appropriate support team and follow up on their resolution.
• Ensure that the Service Desk is aware of any problems affecting users as a result of patching.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive patch management strategy.
• Timely deployment of updates based on the established schedule.
• Maintain test environment for all software and hardware assets.
• Ensure the test environment is available for testing deployments.
• Ensure basic testing of patches deployed in the test environment.
• Ensure reports are made on time to indicate the success or failure of patches deployed in test and product environments.
• Report where patches are not tested and authorized and therefore result in missing update schedules.
• Liaise with SMEs and external vendors for non-windows systems to communicate when patches are available, assist with patch scheduling and actual patching and report on missed patches.
• Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

What do you need?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Studies from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Three (3) years of work experience in a Linux and Windows environment.
• Certifications in CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate are desirable.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Linux and MacOS computer operating techniques and active directory.
• Proficiency in patch management tools such as Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Solarwinds, Gluware and Manage Engine Endpoint Central.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools.
• A basic understanding of IT networking principles.
