Requirements: Technical degree in Culinary Arts or Pastry. Minimum 2 years of experience as Pastry Supervisor or Demi Chef in luxury hotels. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Strong leadership, organization, and creativity skills.

Objective:
To assist the Assistant Pastry Chef  in planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities related to the preparation of pastries, desserts, and bakery items, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and food safety while optimizing the use of all materials and resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating daily pastry and bakery production according to menus and special events, ensuring consistency and excellence in quality and presentation.

  • Supervise attendance, punctuality, personal hygiene, and grooming standards of the pastry team, providing daily reports to the Executive Pastry Chef.

  • Assign daily work tasks and ensure that all hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed according to the company’s Food Safety and Hygiene Program.

  • Participate in the preparation of special menus and new dessert recipes, ensuring proper execution and adherence to recipe standards.

  • Monitor the preparation and presentation of all pastries, breads, and desserts, guaranteeing compliance with recipe books and presentation guidelines.

  • Assist in preparing daily requisitions for raw materials, ensuring proper stock rotation and minimizing waste.

  • Oversee the setup and decoration of dessert buffets and displays in outlets and special events.

  • Conduct regular quality checks (“tastings”) to maintain the highest product standards.

  • Support and participate in periodic inventories and control of raw materials.

  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance actions are requested and followed up for pastry equipment and facilities.

  • Train, motivate, and develop pastry staff, fostering teamwork and a positive working environment.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as Pastry Supervisor or Pastry Demi Chef in luxury or grand tourism hotels.

  • Proven experience supervising pastry or bakery operations.

Academic Education:

  • Technical degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry, or related field.
