Mother’s Enterprises Limited is a respected and growing food manufacturing and retail brand, known for delivering high-quality baked goods and desserts. Our operations include a dynamic pastry environment producing premium cakes, parfaits, and a wide range of dry pastries for retail and catering.

We are seeking a Pastry Production Manager to lead our pastry operations, ensuring consistency, creativity, and efficiency across all products.

 

Role Summary

The Pastry Production Manager will oversee the end-to-end production of all pastry and dessert items, ensuring exceptional product quality, efficient production planning, and adherence to food safety standards. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong pastry expertise, capable of managing high-volume output while maintaining artisanal quality.

 

Key Responsibilities

Pastry Production & Operations

  • Lead and manage daily production of cakes, parfaits, and dry pastries
  • Translate sales forecasts and orders into structured daily and weekly production plans
  • Adjust production schedules to meet urgent or high-volume demand
  • Ensure strict adherence to recipes, portioning, and presentation standards

Quality & Product Excellence

  • Maintain consistent taste, texture, and visual presentation across all products
  • Oversee finishing, decoration, and packaging standards
  • Supervise and support product development, including new dessert offerings and improvements

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, train, and develop team members
  • Foster a high-performance, disciplined, and creative bakery environment
  • Ensure staff adherence to production timelines and quality standards

Cost & Inventory Management

  • Monitor and control food cost in line with budget targets
  • Manage raw material usage, minimize waste, and oversee inventory levels
  • Coordinate procurement of ingredients and packaging supplies

Compliance & Sanitation

  • Ensure full compliance with food safety and sanitation standards (BSJ, FSPID)
  • Maintain daily and deep-cleaning schedules
  • Ensure accurate production records and reporting

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Baking Technology, Culinary Arts, Food Production, Operations, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a pastry-focused leadership role
  • Formal training and hands-on expertise in pastry making, cake production, and dessert finishing
  • Experience in high-volume pastry or dessert production environments is highly preferred

  • High attention to detail and commitment to product quality
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight production deadlines

  • Strong understanding of food cost control and inventory management
