Pastry Chef
• Culinary Arts Degree with a focus on Artisan, Specialty Breads & Pastry, from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience
• 2-3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a five star restaurant or luxury property
• Experience in fine dining & bakery environments
• Ability to create seasonal pastries, and cater to allergens & special diets
• Strong knowledge of bread & pastry techniques, ingredients & presentation
• Experience in leading & working with a small team
• Strong management and mentorship skills
• Energetic & creative with a passion for innovation in bakery & pastry arts
• Adaptability to different tasks & challenges within the pastry kitchen
• Strong communication skills & ability to train
• Computer literate
• Reporting directly to our Executive Chef, with a collaborative approach to kitchen operations & menu development
• Caribbean National - preferably from OECS or CARICOM
