Packer

We're hiring Packers for our client in Kingston, Jamaica.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient individual to join our team as a Packer. The Packer will be responsible for carefully packing items according to company standards.

The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of accuracy throughout the packing process.

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Efficiently and accurately pack items for shipment according to packing lists and instructions.
• Ensure that all items are properly packaged to prevent damage during transit.
• Organize and prepare items for packing, including sorting, labeling, and inspecting for quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of packing area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Assist with inventory management by accurately counting and recording items packed.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily packing goals and deadlines.
• Communicate any issues or discrepancies with packing materials or inventory to the supervisor.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and quality control. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in packing or warehouse environment preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. ​​​​​​​
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
