PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT – On Contract

This position is responsible for the effective control of the Production Department. The incumbent will direct, supervise and coordinate all Production activities to ensure that an approved range of asphalt based products is manufactured to the proper specifications in a timely manner.

Some Duties/ Responsibilities include:

1. Planning and directing the efforts and activities of production personnel to effectively and efficiently achieve organizational objectives.
2. Ensuring that work is performed in accordance with Company’s safety rules and regulations.
3. Directing and controlling the procurement of resources consistent with the department’s goals, objectives and targets.
4. Providing timely and appropriate recommendations for economical production and initiating appropriate action to increase production as required.
5. Managing, training and developing the human resources within his/her Unit in accordance with human resources standards and practices.
6. Maintaining accurate records for monitoring and controlling of all production activities and ensuring that the information is available upon request.
7. Participating in all relevant meetings such as Toolbox, Job Safety Analysis, Permit, Safety and Health Committee and any other related safety meetings
8. Complying with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures and site rules.
9. Performing any other job-related duties that are given by the immediate supervisor, the counter-signing officer, or anyone duly authorized to act in the position.
