The President will manage the overall functions of the Institute of Workforce Education & Development (IWED) which includes managing the training, human resource, and administrative functions, thereby ensuring the delivery of quality training programmes.

JOB SUMMARY

The President will manage the overall functions of the Institute of Workforce Education & Development (IWED) which includes managing the training, human resource, and administrative functions, thereby ensuring the delivery of quality training programmes. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and implements strategic measures for on-going strengthening of the Institute. 
  • Directs and manages the instructional programmes and resources of the Institute.
  • Recruit quality instructional Facilitators with the skills and capabilities to deliver established curriculum.
  • Establishes and maintains standards for evaluation and accreditation, in keeping with requirements of regulatory and certifying agencies.
  • Coordinates the establishment, implementation, and review of policies and procedures to guide the establishment and maintenance of quality and control systems.
  • Develops, implements and manages the annual strategic, operational plans and budget
  • Represents the Institute on internal and external working groups/committees and at local, regional and international meetings and conferences.
  • Monitors for performance and compliance
  • Research, develop and promote training programmes attractive to employers, employees and job seekers.
  • Prepare proposals for competitive bidding for contract training.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s Degree in Education, Education/Business Administration or equivalent
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in education administration, promoting, designing and implementing instructional and development programs
