Outbound Supervisor

Facilitate accurate and on-time delivery of shipments to customers by coordinating the picking of goods, while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and skills:

• Diploma in Business Administration or Warehousing/ Logistics
• Three (3) years’ experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, at least one (1) of which should be at the supervisory level
• Training/certification in forklift operations
• Capability to deal with change at short notice
• Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent Time Management
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and WMS applications

• Oversee process for dispatching of transfer orders to pickers to ensure completion of picking tasks within agreed timeframe
• Monitor stock levels in pick face to ensure timely replenishment of goods and supplies
• Coordinate activities on work floor to ensure that all functions related to picking and replenishing are carried out in accordance with efficiency, safety and security standards
• Promote good picking practices to assist in maintaining health and safety of pickers and take corrective action when standards not met
• Monitor placement of goods on pallets during picking process to ensure integrity of goods is maintained
• Ensure that the aisles are accessible and free from debris to allow free movement within the warehouse
• Establish good communication with dock supervisor and checkers to ensure picking errors are corrected on a timely basis
•  Examine operational systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning to aid in efficient delivery of service
