START DATE ... Some flexibility , depending on flights and quarantine situation 

PAYMENT .. .....Salary , plus vehicle , work permit , housing , flight 

CONTRACT ......One year , renewable.

Vision Express and Vision Express Medical are independent companies , combined to offer, optical , optometry and ophthalmic surgery services on the beautiful island of St Lucia .

VE Medical has two excellent ophthalmic surgeons and a full private surgery facility, which means that many of the optometrist  medical referrals are dealt with “ in house “.

Vision Express are searching for an optometrist who is keen to work with a team of young,  forward thinking, ophthalmologists on a “shared care” platform .

Alongside general optometry , experience of  eye examinations  such as OCT , Pachymetry, Goniosncoy will be important.

A desire to develop in different specialized patient oriented fields, and work with management to an establish areas of company development would be a big advantage.

For example Myopia Control , Dry Eye Management , Pediatric Optometry ,Keratoconus and scleral contact lenses .etc  .. all interested areas of development will be encouraged. 

Some community work is also undertaken by the Vision Express company .

In a nutshell, Vision Express are looking for an optometrist, who believes , patient care , patient service and development into non traditional areas of shared care between optometry and ophthalmology, provide an exciting and workable challenge.

Vision Express, St Lucia, is a group of four retail practices , a full surfacing optical lab, and a private eye surgery facility . 

The company has been established in St Lucia for over thirty years.

Ideally we are looking for a male optometrist , only to “ balance “ our team of five optometrists . But the above criteria for suitable applicants are more important than gender.
