Dispatch, receive and control the movement of Optical products (frames, sunglasses, optical accessories and non-stock items) in accordance with company’s policies.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:
• Verify suppliers’ documents against products received, conducting quality checks for defective items and quantity verification and accurately labelling and identifying products.
• Dispatch products consistent with the SOPs to ensure the accurate and efficient distribution of products.
• Assist with the inventory management of Optical Stockroom through relevant checks and documentation, including daily, cycle, quarterly and annual counts to safeguard the assets of the organization and in accordance with the stock management guidelines.
• Maintain the Optical Stockroom in accordance with the SOPs to ensure effective inventory management.
• Monitor access into and out of the Optical Stockroom by designated personnel for the purpose of picking and packing stock.
• Liaise with Optical Buying Manager to keep a check on non-stock inventory used by branches including equipment, fixtures, bags, lens cloths and cases.
• Assist with Optical Lab administrative tasks when needed.
• Performs any other duties that may be assigned to you by your management line.

QUALIFICATION / EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
••Certification in Inventory Management, Warehousing or Business Administration will be an asset.
•A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Supervisory or Management capacity.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Computer Literacy.
• Ability to prioritize a demanding workload.
• Must be organized, self-confident/motivated, goal-oriented and able to cope well in a stress-related environment.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Honesty and integrity.
• Reliable, trustworthy and a good team player.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety would be an asset.
• Physically capable to lift, pack and stack light/medium items and climb step ladder to access shelving
• Knowledge of product and material handling.
