The Operations, Projects and Marketing Officer, coordinates projects, assists in managing the day-to-day operations, marketing and promotional activities for the UCME business divisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The Operations, Projects and Marketing Officer will have primary responsibility for:
Project & Systems Management
- Manage and coordinate assigned projects.
- Conduct quarterly audits of the Interment Management System (IMS) to ensure employees and Funeral Homes are using it efficiently.
- Archive data from the Interment Management System (IMS) annually in accordance with the Data Archiving Policy.
- Prepare monthly reports on projects and other work activities.
Training & Employee Development
- Orient new employees on the use of various systems and provide remedial training for existing employees not using the systems correctly.
- Coordinate training programmes for internal employees and employees of Funeral Homes.
- Coach and supervise customer service employees in the absence of supervisors/managers.
Marketing, Branding & Communications
- Execute strategies to strengthen UCME’s brand image and equity.
- Research market and customer insights/trends to enhance customer experience, products, and services.
- Assist in the execution of integrated marketing communications strategies (advertising, public relations, customer research, digital media, sponsorships, promotions, and direct marketing) to support business objectives within budget and timelines.
- Liaise with strategic partners (graphic designers, copywriters, printers, etc.) for copywriting, design, layout, and production of promotional materials (brochures, signage, advertisements, online content, etc.).
- Assist with the planning and execution of two major annual marketing/public relations events:
- Funeral Directors Appreciation Function
- Annual Memorial Service
- Periodically monitor and update the company’s website.
Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Investigate customer complaints and recommend/take corrective actions.
- Monitor payments through the Sagicor payment gateway portal to confirm online transactions.
- Communicate service disruptions with relevant service providers.
Operations & Administration
- Coordinate the renewal of various insurance policies on an annual basis.
- Monitor and maintain all security systems.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance of all office equipment.
- Procure office equipment and supplies for staff.
