FT Farfan - Operations Manager

Job Purpose

The incumbent is responsible for the Warehousing, Inventory and Logistics activities for the Company. These are areas of the Supply Chain from the receipt of purchase requisition to the delivery to the customer. The incumbent will drive operational resilience, cost efficiency, and performance improvement through data-driven strategies and the implementation of modern technology, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business and sustainability goals. This position reports to the Managing Director/CEO.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages all Procurement, Warehousing, Logistics, and Inventory activities ensuring efficient, timely, and cost-effective operations from supplier to customer.
  • Develops and maintains strong, strategic relationships with vendors and suppliers, leveraging strong negotiation skills to secure favourable contracts and supply continuity.
  • Monitors and guides the Slow and Obsolete Stock Committees to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Manages the divisional budget and monitors all divisional expenses on a monthly basis, preparing the annual operations budget to ensure cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
  • Chairs the Operations Committee meeting to foster cross-functional collaboration and drives a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Leads, develops, and implements all Supply Chain Digital Transformation and Process Improvement Projects, reporting on their performance.
  • Implements and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all supply chain activities (cost,service, quality, speed) and utilizes Strong Analytical Skills to analyze complex data for identifying bottlenecks, trends, and opportunities for efficiency gains.
  • Evaluates and integrates new supply chain technologies (e.g., ERP, WMS, automation, and predictive analytics tools) to enhance real-time visibility and drive efficiency efforts.
  • Proactively identifies, assesses, and mitigates supply chain risks (e.g., disruptions, compliance issues) to build a resilient and robust operational framework.
  • Ensures all operational processes strictly adhere to local and international regulations, trade compliance, and company quality/safety standards.
  • Ensures the maintenance and adherence to ISO Standards
  • Demonstrates active adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, and foster HSE awareness
  • Responsible for Team compliance as it relates to Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

 Academic Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business or related field
  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Experience in Warehouse Management, Demand Planning, Logistics and Inventory Management
  • Experience in Warehouse Management Systems and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics)
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office or Google suite of applications and ERP software
