Are you a proactive and results-driven leader with a passion for operational excellence? We’re looking for an Operations Manager to lead and optimize our warehouse operations. In this role, you will oversee everything from inventory management and order fulfillment to process improvement and team leadership. You’ll collaborate closely with the Sales Manager to ensure smooth alignment between operations and sales, helping us consistently meet customer needs and maintain high service standards.
Essential Functions
1. Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee inventory control, receiving, dispatching, and storage layout optimization.
- Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment for customer deliveries and in-store purchases.
- Maintain strict control over product movements, manage stock counts, and ensure accurate documentation of all inventory activities
- Ensure all service calls and repairs are effectively resolved and logged adhering to established procedures.
- Establish and maintain high standards for warehouse appearance including organization and cleanliness.
2. Collaboration with Sales:
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to align operational processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate to ensure stores are restocked within deadlines and optimize store inventory levels.
3. Process and Performance Management:
- Develop, enforce, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all operational functions.
- Monitor operational KPIs and generate actionable insights to drive productivity and accountability.
- Lead initiatives to reduce shrinkage, improve order cycle times, and enhance customer satisfaction through operational excellence.
4. Leadership and Team Development:
- Manage warehouse and operations staffing including rostering, hiring, training, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and innovation within the operations team.
- Provide leadership in change management as new processes and technologies are introduced.
5. Asset and Property Management:
- Oversee maintenance of facilities, vehicles, and equipment ensuring full functionality within budget constraints.
- Implement systems to monitor and track asset utilization, maintenance cycles, and vendor service performance.
6. Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and conduct or facilitate safety training for staff.
Requirements
- Degree in Logistics, Distribution, or related field with experience in computerized inventory systems.
- 8+ years in warehouse management, particularly with inbound containerized inventory and order fulfillment.
- Proven ability to refine SOPs, manage teams, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and extended hours.
