Summary of the Role
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the company, ensuring the successful installation of solar solutions and delivering quality customer service to all clients.
The position will provide leadership and guidance to the Operations team, collaborate across departments and work closely with the executive leadership to operationalize strategic objectives, assist with creating the necessary structure to scale the business and drive excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize the daily activities related to the operations of the company.
- Coordinate, manage and monitor all installations and service activities, ensuring that all requirements are met through appropriate scheduling to meet deadlines and targets.
- Maintains and improves Operations by monitoring performance and standard operating procedures; identifying and resolving problems quickly and ensuring quality and customer service standards.
- Manage all human resource related activities in the Operations Department including training, coaching, development, recruitment, onboarding, enforcing policies and procedures and disciplining employees.
- Monitor internal control systems to identify non-compliance, documenting and taking corrective action as needed.
- Ensure materials are ready and available for installations/ repairs as and when required by monitoring warehouse levels and equipment efficiency to ensure optimal performance.
- Forecast inventory requirements in order to schedule expenditures; analyze variances and initiate corrective actions.
- Measure productivity by analysing performance data and activity reports.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, and increase efficiency of projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field with a strong emphasis on Operations Management.
- Minimum of 3 Years in a Managerial position.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience managing high-performance teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Technical knowledge of Solar Energy Solutions is an asset.
