Position:                                 Operations Insights Analyst

Reporting Relationship:      

This position reports directly to the Channel & Projects Manager – KFC & Pizza Hut or designate.

Summary:                          

The incumbent will be responsible for driving data-led decision making across all Operations Channels by analyzing operational   performance, developing reporting tools, and leading insight-driven projects. The role supports the identification of opportunities to improve sales, service, and operational efficiency by transforming data into actionable insights. The incumbent works closely with Channel Leads, Area Coaches, and cross-functional teams to support performance improvement, project execution, and strategic initiatives across the system.

                                                 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analytics & Reporting (50%)

  • Develops and maintains daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track key operational KPIs across all Operations Channels
  • Designs and maintains dashboards using Business Intelligence Tools (BI) to provide clear visibility of business performance
  • Analyzes store, channel, and daypart performance to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
  • Conducts root cause analysis for underperforming stores and provides actionable recommendations
  • Supports planning for peak periods, promotions, and operational initiatives
  • Identifies patterns in sales trends and operational bottlenecks
  • Provides data-driven insights to support decision-making at store and leadership levels
  • Ensures data accuracy, consistency, and standardization across reporting tools
  • Performs other related duties, as required.

 

Project Leadership & Execution (20%)

  • Leads and supports operational projects related to Operations performance improvement
  • Develops and maintains project trackers, timelines, and reporting tools to monitor progress
  • Provides structured updates to the Channel & Projects Manager and key stakeholders
  • Measures and reports on project impact, including KPI improvements and return on investment
  • Supports pilot programs and new initiatives across the system

 

Operational Insights & Compliance (20%)

  • Reviews operational data and available tools to identify process gaps and non-compliance
  • Supports performance improvement by linking data insights to operational execution
  • Assists in identifying opportunities to improve product availability, service standards, and execution
  • Conducts scheduled and structured restaurant visits, in line with an agreed calendar, to observe operations across Drive-Thru, Delivery, and Front Counter channels
  • Works alongside restaurant teams to validate data insights and understand real-time operational challenges
  • Identifies gaps between reported performance and actual in-store execution and provides practical recommendations

 

GIS & Trade Area Support (10%)

  • Supports delivery zone and trade area analysis across the system
  • Works closely with Channel Leads to assess zone performance and optimization opportunities
  • Provides data-driven insights to support decisions on delivery strategies and coverage
  • Works with external resources for advanced GIS insights aligned to operational needs

 

KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to analyze reports and translate data into actionable business insights
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build effective relationships
  • Self-driven with the ability to work with minimal supervision

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 3–5+ years’ experience in analytics, reporting, or operations roles
  • Experience in QSR, retail, or service industry will be an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (BI) is required
