Operations/Compliance Specialist (Not Remote)

A highly detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team. This role is to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and policies during the onboarding of clients. Strong analytical skills, the ability to identify discrepancies, and a commitment to upholding compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough compliance reviews of client onboarding documentation, ensuring adherence to banking regulations and internal policies.
• Utilize proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and track compliance metrics.
• Identify and flag irregularities, discrepancies, or potential risks, raising concerns as necessary.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve compliance-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Stay updated on evolving compliance regulations and banking industry best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and processing documents.
• Critical Thinking: Ability to question processes and identify areas of concern or improvement.
• Personality Fit: Preference for an introverted personality type with the ability to focus in detail-driven tasks.
• Multi-Tasking Ability: Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high-quality results.

Preferred Attributes

• Previous experience in compliance or a related field within the banking industry is an asset.
• Familiarity with anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes is advantageous.
