The Business & Employment Centre is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for the position of Operations Assistant.

The Operations Assistant provides hands-on support across daily warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring that all processes are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with established quality standards. This role is key to maintaining operational flow, accuracy, and service levels within the operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily operational activities including cargo consolidation, sorting, zoning, and dispatch preparation.
  • Ensure proper organization, labeling, and storage of packages according to assigned zones and priorities.
  • Assist with route dispatch for vans and motorcycles, ensuring correct documentation and prioritization of shipments.
  • Perform efficient loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring cargo is properly secured for transport.
  • Print and manage cargo manifests and operational documentation.
  • Receive and process recovered packages from depot, express, and last-mile operations.
  • Support warehouse readiness by ensuring supplies, equipment, and work areas are organized and operational.
  • Assist in operational handovers between shifts and support daily operational closures.
  • Register and track operational incidents, delivery exceptions, and PODs in the system.
  • Support tracking control, contractor closures, and basic operational reporting.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and compliance with safety and workplace regulations.
  • Participate in required trainings and follow internal procedures related to safety, quality, and operations.
