Occupational Health & Safety Specialist

Must be proactive in achieving Occupational Health & Safety goals of the Company.

• Assist with the planning, organizing, establishment, administering and evaluation of a Health and Occupational program.
• Identify hazards or potentially hazardous conditions, developing measures to eliminate or control these conditions and communicating appropriate measures to resolve these problems.
• Plan and develop occupational health programs to recognize, eliminate and control health hazards and disease.
• Conduct formal safety assessments, investigations and evaluations at all company locations.
• Investigate and report findings of regulatory compliance issues and facilitate the implementation of required corrective measures.
• Schedule and conduct comprehensive inspections to identify real and potential hazards in the workplace.
• Provide technical assistance to include training to ensure hazards are corrected.
• Collaborate and inspect current safety policies and procedures for all safety programs.
• Partner with operations, maintenance management and all company departments on various safety projects.
• Investigate all accident reports and provide comprehensive recommendations based on findings.
• Consistently drive the advancement of the safety culture throughout the organization, promoting positive safety performances and continual improvement.
• Any other related duties.
