ORTHOPEDIC SCRUB NURSE / PRACTITIONER TECHNICIAN—Orthopedic Theatre and Recovery with a minimum of 3 years of experience is essential. Theatre experience in all areas of orthopedics is required.

ORTHOPEDIC SCRUB NURSE / PRACTITIONER TECHNICIAN 

 Job Opportunity, based on the beautiful island of St Lucia in the Caribbean 

 V.E Medical - Private Ambulatory Surgery Centre with a friendly and dynamic professional team. 

The Facility is open Monday to Saturday 8am to 8pm | 40 hour working week 

SKILLS REQUIRED 

• Orthopedic Theatre and Recovery with minimum 3 years-experience essential. 

• Hands on” theatre scrub nurse/ technician, capable of being part of a small surgery team, with two operating theatres.

a) Ophthalmology and dermatology.

b) Orthopedic and trauma 

• To Work under the direct supervision of the resident orthopedic surgeon. 

• Patient Experience in both Epidural nerve blocking and anesthesia gas for surgeries. 

• Duties will also include supervision of sterilsation and preparation of the orthopedic theatre. Surgeries performed will include but not limited to full and partial hip, knee, minor and trauma.

• Theatre experience essential in all areas of orthopedics is required. 

• Working with the orthopedic clinic and pain and regenerative joint clinic, are also run by the orthopedic / anesthesia team

• Applicant be able to work on own initiative, but also as part of a team 

• English language essential
