Overview

The Nursing Preceptor is an advanced teaching position intended for an experienced faculty member with a strong background in clinical instruction. The preceptor will develop and deliver clinical and practical courses in accordance with the TCICC nursing curriculum and programme requirements. While clinical teaching within the Nursing Department will be the preceptor's primary responsibility, the individual will also contribute as a lecturer and as a member of the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, as well as the wider College community. Preceptors are expected to engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with evidence-based best practices in clinical teaching and patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a closely related healthcare field.
  • Current and active license as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife (additional specialties will be considered an asset).
  • Current certification in First Aid (or BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Formal qualification in teaching and learning, nursing education, nursing practice, or clinical instruction.
  • Demonstrated capacity to teach using high-end technologies in physical, online, and hybrid learning environments.
    Proven ability to advise and mentor students effectively.
    Ability to teach across multiple specialties and settings, from primary to tertiary healthcare institution
  • Experience:

A minimum of 3 years of clinical (bedside) nursing practice, with substantial experience across multiple specialties.
At least 2 years of formal clinical preceptorship or teaching, preferably across multi-specialty areas.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver nursing courses that meet international standards and quality in nursing education.
Experience in course material development, programme improvement, and curriculum optimisation.
Capable of independently organising and teaching clinical skills in laboratory environments.
Proven ability to work efficiently and ethically within multidisciplinary teams and healthcare systems.
Demonstrated understanding of how to navigate complex hospital and healthcare systems.

Annual Salary:            -           USD58,873.00 – USD63,400.00

Overseas recruits are eligible for a Housing Allowance of USD7,800.00 per annum, Grand Turk and USD10,200.00 per annum Providenciales. A settling-in loan and 10% gratuity upon successful completion of the contract of engagement.
