Sagicor Life of the Cayman Islands Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join Insurance Operations team in the capacity of:
New Business Associate
Cayman Islands (Grade 2)
Review applications for completeness and ensure that underwriting requirements are met.
Create and upload applications using the designated system.
Provide clerical support to other business units as necessary to ensure the overall achievement of the company’s goals.
Location: Grand Cayman
As a New Business Associate, you will:
- Ensure that all applications received are logged and checked.
- Verify applications for completeness, accuracy and underwriting requirements.
- Return incomplete applications to respective agents and maintain a record of the returns.
- Provide general assistance to Advisors/Brokers on pending applications status and outstanding requirements.
- Applications are created, scanned and processed on CAPSIL and P360.
- Prepare weekly & monthly reports for the Country Manager & Sales Manager.
- Initiate and process coupon cases and approved underwriting cases for settlement and closure.
- Collate all completed applications/documents for shipping to Head Office Records Management.
- Perform any other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- A High School Diploma.
- A minimum of a certification in Business Administration or related course from a recognized tertiary institution.
- LOMA – Parts 1 and 2, or other industry-related designation.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in an insurance company or prior experience within the Financial Services industry.
- Working knowledge of life insurance policies, procedures and laws.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Attention to details.
- Good keyboarding/data entry skills.
- Good human relations and time-management skills.
