Job Summary:
As the Network & Schedule Planner, you will be instrumental in shaping and optimising our airline's route network and schedules to maximise efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a keen understanding of airline network planning, market dynamics and analysis, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

Route Network Strategy:
Develop and implement the airline's route network strategy to align with business goals and capitalize on market opportunities
Identify and evaluate potential new routes, considering factors such as demand forecasts, competition, and regulatory requirements

Schedule Optimization:
Lead the creation of effective and efficient flight schedules, taking into account aircraft utilization, crew planning, and passenger demand
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure schedules are operationally viable and compliant with industry regulations

Market Analysis:
Conduct thorough market analyses to assess demand, competitive landscape, and economic viability
Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor actions, providing insights to inform route and schedule planning decisions

Capacity Planning:
Work closely with Fleet Planning to align route development with aircraft acquisition plans and overall fleet strategy
Optimize capacity allocation to enhance revenue generation and cost-effectiveness

Performance Monitoring:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of routes and schedules
Implement adjustments based on performance metrics and changing market conditions

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with internal departments, including Commercial, Finance, and Operations, to align route and schedule planning with broader business objectives

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into actionable route and schedule planning strategies
Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in route planning software and data analysis tools
In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, market trends, and competitive dynamics
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
At least 7 years of proven experience in route network and schedule planning within the airline industry
Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape in the aviation sector
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business/Aviation Management, or a related field; Master’s degree in a related field is a plus
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular focus on advanced Excel skills
