We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced professional to join our team in the position of Network Engineer.


The Network Engineer will support the Network Manager in ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the JN Group’s network infrastructure. This includes designing, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring LAN/WAN environments, data center networks, cloud connectivity, and security platforms. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering resilient network solutions, maintaining best-in-class service levels, and safeguarding the Group’s network ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain enterprise routing and switching infrastructure, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

  • Ensure consistent network reliability and performance, configuring LAN/WAN devices to meet design specifications.

  • Optimize routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and ensure fast failover and traffic efficiency.

  • Design, develop, and deploy secure and effective communication networks consistent with business needs.

  • Manage data center network architecture including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.

  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure proper installation, maintenance, and service delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with network security policies and implement security protocols (e.g., WPA2, 802.1x, IDS/IPS).

  • Monitor and analyze network performance, traffic, and logs to identify and resolve network issues.

  • Maintain dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility into network health and system performance.

  • Perform system maintenance, including updates, patches, upgrades, and configuration adjustments.

  • Configure and support VoIP systems and ensure cloud connectivity (Azure, AWS) operates efficiently.

  • Provide technical support to users across the JN Group network environment

 

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with data center switching, routing, VoIP, wireless, and enterprise LAN/WAN environments.

  • CCNA or equivalent certification in network design and troubleshooting (preferred).

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, OSPF, PPP, BGP, VPN, Wireless, QoS, and related technologies.

  • Experience with VoIP telephony systems and SIP platforms.

  • Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure / AWS) is an asset.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
